In 2014, Microsoft wanted to introduce their newly launched Surface Pro 3 device their clients in the education sector.
The aim of their brief was to demonstrate and inform how the Surface Pro 3 can benefit students and teachers alike through a direct mail piece.
Using high-res scans of the product, I designed a 100% to scale cardboard mockup of the SP3 device that also played 3 educational videos and case studies about the product.
As soon as the DM pieces were delivered, news instantaneously spread online. Most notably on Gizmodo and The Verge.
